We offer 2 opportunities for worship each Sunday. Each is unique and gives people the chance to encounter God in a way that is personally meaningful.
Our contemporary service meets at 8:45am in the Fellowship Hall. This worship is supported by our Praise Team, a multi-generational group who leads the congregation in classic and current contemporary Christian music. You will also experience the use of multi-media presentations during this worship as film and current event clips are used to enhance the worship experience.
Traditional worship meets at 11:00am in the Sanctuary. Supporting this worship is our Chancel Choir, singing an eclectic selection of music from the master composers of the past and the choral innovators of today. Congregational singing is accompanied by our pipe organ and/or piano as we sing hymns and gospel songs that reflect our faith.
The Chancel Choir
The Chancel Choir provides music leadership for our traditional worship. Singing an eclectic blend of music from the master composers of the past and the choral innovators of today, the choir leads in worship each Sunday at 11:00am. In addition, they present music programs and lead worship for special occasions during the church year; such as Advent/Christmas and Lent/Easter.
The Praise Team
The Awakening Praise Team is a multi-generational, audition group that leads worship each Sunday at 8:45am for our AWAKENING worship. They use classic and contemporary Christian music to lead in worship that is more informal than the Traditional Worship. Accompanied by guitars, keyboard, and percussion, this group practices each Tuesday evening from 6:30-8:00.
The Handbell Choir
Ringing 5 octaves of handbells and 3 octaves of handchimes, they prepare music for worship leadership on a regular basis. They also participate in handbell festivals throughout the region and state. Membership in this group is open to those with handbell experience.
The Children's Music Ministry
Our Preschool and Elementary School music ministry is incorporated into our Sunday morning activity. It is our belief that children trained to utilize music to praise and serve God from an early age will do so throughout their lives. Incorporating music gives them the opportunity to grow spiritually, emotionally, physically and educationally. Music enhances each of these areas as the children participate in singing and worshipping God. For more detailed information about this ministry, visit the Children’s ministry page.
