FBC Weekday Preschool utilizes curriculum based on research of current best practices in the field of early childhood education along with developmentally appropriate practice. We utilize Creative Curriculum in all of our classes. Our 4 year old/PreK classes also follow Virginia's Foundation Blocks for Early Learning (Virginia Department of Education). These curriculum selections are research driven and rooted within the belief that play is at the heart of learning.
Our curriculum allows for the development of daily routines that are appropriate for preschoolers, and encourage the use of daily center time in the integration of instruction. In addition, it offers opportunities for students to be served individually, within small groups and as a whole group.
Embedded within daily lessons and activities is our mission to share God's love as we serve as an outreach ministry of the church.
