The choirs of the Music Ministry at First Baptist Waynesboro seek to minister through spiritual and spirit-led music to enhance each Worship experience. Provide training that equips, empowers, and enables others to grow and realize their full potential in the area of music ministry.
Chancel Choir
Innovative, fresh, and creative music that is unique to this church while also reaching into the past to bridge the gap between generations. The 25 voice choir sings for special services throughout the year. In addition, FBW choir sings for special events in the Waynesboro community. We rehearse from 7:00 - 8:30 on Wednesday evenings.
Children’s Choir
We believe in giving our children’s choir the opportunity to lead in worship with their voices and giving them skills to grow their musicianship and spirituality as young singers.
Handbell Groups
We also have two handbell groups at FBW: an adult handbell choir and a youth handbell choir. The bell choir offers another dimension to enhance our worship experience through instrumental music. We love this different style of music and the ways it allows the players to add to our music ministry.
Praise Team
Our 8:45 service is led by our praise team. They use a mixture of contemporary praise songs and reimagined hymns as they lead. In addition to our wonderful vocalists, the band consists of keyboard, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass, and drums.
