Pastoral Transition #1: Jim White to be Interim Pastor

We are excited to share the news that Dr. Jim White, our current Pastor for Senior Adults, has officially agreed to serve as our interim pastor beginning July 1. Jim has been a member of our staff since January 2022 and he and his wife, Connie, have been church members at FBW for almost 5 years.

Over the course of his career, Jim has served as a senior pastor at churches in Missouri and Virginia. After serving as the senior pastor at FBC Newport News, VA for sixteen years, Jim began working for the VA Baptist Mission Board and then was the executive editor of the Religious Herald from 2005-2013.

Jim has also served as an interim pastor for multiple churches in Virginia, and we are excited that we will get to benefit from his many years of experience as an interim pastor in other churches as he leads us in this pastoral transition.

Jim says that he is thrilled to serve as interim during this time as we at FBW are seeking God's direction as we search for a permanent pastor.
