We are excited to begin a partnership with Berkeley Glenn Elementary! We have committed to partnering with BGES for at least 3 years and are excited about finding ways to support our neighborhood elementary school. There will be ongoing opportunities throughout the year in which you can be involved. We will also update this page with information about one-time events that we know about the may need help in the form of volunteers or donations.

All volunteers who will be interacting with children will need to complete a volunteer background check , which can be picked up in the church office. Forms may be returned to the office and we will take them to BGES for you, or you can take it to BGES directly. If you haven’t heard anything back from the school within a week, it means you passed the background check. You will only be contacted if something on your background check will prevent you from volunteering.

One Time volunteer opportunities

Year-round volunteer opportunities:

• Volunteer regularly with a specific class to provide additional support to a teacher

• Be a guest reader in a class once a month

• Partner with a specific child to develop a relationship with them, provide emotional support, some tutoring, lunch buddies, etc.
