This summer, we will be using Cokesbury’s Road Trip curriculum and can’t wait! Joshua 1:9 says, “The Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” This summer, children will journey together and learn how God is with us always- when things are going right, when things are hard, when we are feeling lonely, and when we are feeling joyful! By the end of the week, they will leave knowing that wherever life takes them and whatever they face, they will always have God on their Road Trip of life!
Daily Themes
Day 1: Abraham and Sarah Follow God (Genesis 12:1-9)
Mile Marker: God is with us on the journey.
Day 2: The Israelites Take the Scenic Route (Exodus 13:17-22)
Mile Marker: God is with us when we go off course.
Day 3: Mary & Elizabeth’s Family Reunion (Luke 1:39-56)
Mile Marker: God is with us when we are joyful.
Day 4: Jesus Visits Zacchaeus (Luke 19:1-10)
Mile Marker: God is with us when we’re lonely.
Day 5: On the Road with Paul (Acts 18:1-11)
Mile Marker: God is with us near and far.

5:00-5:40- Dinner
5:45- 6:05- Opening Assembly
6:10-7:45- Rotations (Bible story, music, arts/science, games/missions)
7:50-8:00- Closing Assembly
Volunteer Training (for those who will be working with or around children at VBS)
All volunteers 18+ must have a current background check (within the last three years). All volunteers regardless of age must attend one of our VBS trainings in order to serve. Volunteer training dates will be on Tuesday, May 12th at 7pm or Saturday, May 23rd at 10am at First Baptist.
