This Lent we will focus on familiar stories in the Gospel of Luke as Jesus turns toward Jerusalem and prepares to face the cross. Through these stories we see how Jesus’ ministry challenged the social, political, and religious divides of his day. These narratives invite us to move beyond cultural assumptions and embrace God’s inclusive love. By reflecting on supposed opposites—such as faith and works or grief and hope—we uncover their complexity and recognize how God meets us in the “in between” spaces of life. Ultimately, this series calls us to embrace nuance, faith, and transformation in a divided world.
