After being rejected by the Samaritans, Jesus and his disciples continue toward Jerusalem. On the way, Jesus emphasizes that following him requires sincere commitment.

The lost sheep, coin and son emphasize that God is not content for the lost to remain lost!
March 12 | Luke 18:15-17 | No Greater Trust
Parents brought their babies to Jesus asking Him to bless them. Placing their infants into the arms of Jesus indicated their level of trust and confidence.
March 19 | John 11:16-44 | The Grieving Jesus
Obviously, for Jesus, death did not have the same sense of finality that Martha and Mary attached to it. Why did Jesus grieve and weep? It was not for Lazarus, because he knew what was about to happen, but could he have grieved seeing the pain they experienced? Did he grieve that humans have such trouble seeing beyond their present circumstances?

Mary, who elsewhere is called a great sinner, anointed the head and feet of Jesus whereas the Pharisee, in whose home he was a guest was self-satisfied.
